It's been a cracking couple of weeks. Cardiff, Narberth, Taunton and Bristol - four superb gigs, viewed through varying levels of sobriety, yet each utterly unforgettable. From the olde worlde charm of the Globe to the surreal calm of the Queens Hall (rocket balloons aside), to the fancy-dress Halloween sweatbox of t...he Perfect 5th to the tiny attic room of the Lousiana - every night a true wonder. Even now, sat at my boring desk in my boring office, I can hear echoes of your songs old and new drifting through my head and pulling at my feet, haunting and taunting with a mystical madness which seems so far away and yet so close at hand... Hope the rest of the tour goes well - and keep up the good work! Until next we meet... :-)Read more

The longest and wildest night of the tour! The Louisiana is a tiny venue, so the atmosphere was belting. Intimate and fun. Straight after the gig we dived in the van and landed at the Mexican Day of the Dead party by Invisible Circus. 600 Bristol party people dressed as the dead, with Trapeze, cabaret, fire, and a mode...l railway! We painted our faces, and were on stage straight away, after the Human Pinata, and did one of the most intense and full-on performances we've done in ages. It was 1am, they'd been partying for 5 hours already so we hit them with all we'd got. And it worked! Hundreds of black and white painted faces jumping and bumping, skeletons and skulls everywhere. So many fabulous costumes, puppets and decorations. What a party! Read more

Day 16 found us stranded in Poole as our b&b was double-booked. Mr Kyps was a great venue, only bizarrely they'd set us up on a tiny stage in front of the main stage and speakers. It's really weird to hear yourself coming from behind you, if you see what I mean? Excellent supports from Liability, and Stomping Dave Alle...n who played banjo and fiddle whilst clog dancing! The dancey audience made it a great vibe, lots of jumping and bumping. Tim and Jamie discovered how large cushions make great pirate hats. Photos to follow! Read more

Old Bloke Hey Guys, Hope you have as much fun on stage tonight as i know i am on the dance floor. Peace x

Day 15 now, and after 2 days in London village the monkeys are craving sea air and trees to climb! Spent our free day at the Natural History Museum, and watching episodes of David Attenborough. Oh yes, we are SO rock n roll! Luminaire was a really nice venue... shame there weren't more people, but everyone there was ha...ving a right jumping good time. Quick aftershows in wherever we could find open in Kilburn after 12, and why are there no 5 person taxis in Londinium???
