Hi Timothy, the right to play ambassador programme is run through the charity in partnership with BUCS, so primarily you would be an ambassador for the charity at your campus and will have the opp. to get involved in fundraising events or BUCS national events at which Right To Play will be present.

Lizzie Windsor

Lizzie Windsor Do you need someone to write articles or film some footage over the next few weeks as a preview for the Championships? There isn't much happening from Mid December and January as everyone will be away for holidays and exams. Let me know as a few of us are keen and would do it for free so long as it would get used somewhere. What do you think?

Hi Charlie. I am not sure what you mean by 'regional teams'. Are you talking about English Universities, Scottish Universities etc?

I was talking about regional teams. Regions, like southern universities etc... I saw that football have them and wanted to know if other sports have them too. Could you let me know?

Max Schmeling

Max Schmeling Why can only 1st teams enter the championship and be in the premier leagues? I've just found out we cannot go up or be in the biggest knock out championship. We are easily one of the best sides and even if we weren't we would have earnt a place on merit. I don't think a lesser 1st team that we are above should be allow...ed into the bigger competition at our expense. We only get one chance at playing university sport and are being denied the chance of playing at the highest level despite being good enough. That isn't very sporting. Surely the best sides should play at the top no matter what?

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS)
Hi Max. We understand your frustration of not being able to be promoted to the Premier League or Championship. The reason behind this has been discussed at BUCS Board on numerous occasions. BUCS has over 150 universities competing in 50 sports and every university are given the opportunity to compete in top level university sport, as your first ... See Moreteam are currently. If we removed the ‘glass ceilings’ on leagues it would allow 2nd and 3rd teams into Premier Leagues and Championships, which are the sacrosanct competitions of university sport. Some universities have a very strong set up in some sports, due to development, investment, coaching etc, and it would be inequitable to BUCS members if we allowed a single university to have more than one team in the Premier League/ knockouts at the expense of other first teams.
