Jean Stembridge: I am SO happy that I don't just have a British passport, but also a second European one. That way I at least can claim that Brits who have views like the one you express here - and what's more you seem to do it seriously and without a hint of irony - are "not my people". It is shameful to all knowledge of Europe on WW2 and ... Read moreextrapolate into the future from there. My grandad suffered just as much in the War (for Britain), but in my experience that is not the generation that has a problem with Europe; it is yours.

My suggestion is you take advantage of the EU: travel, go and live in foreign lands for a while, learn a few languages. You will soon realise that it isn't all as bad as you see it, and you might upon return realise that the problem with the UK is Labour, not the EU.

Europe is a great place, lots of really nice countries and people, bags of history, superb architecture and fantastic food. But so are Africa, Asia and North and South America, been there done that. It is not the fact of Europe as a foreign place of which we are frightened, what worries us is the fact that we, Britain, should have 'leaders' (and in... Read more this I include David Cameron) who are prepared to timidly surrender our sovereignty to become part of an un-democratic superstate, leaving us governed by a bunch of un-elected politicos over whom we have no democratic control. Just think, it is an organisation that wants a 'President' how to get one? Just appoint someone, no need to do as every other democracy does and have a vote, same with all sorts of things, when did we ever get a vote on a manifesto of the European Commission? Yet their desires get put into law at the drop of a hat, and our 'leaders' will now have even less say in what is acceptable.

We could have saved a lot of trouble and strife by simply giving in in 1940, when we had the chance to make a peace with Hitler - fortunately at that time our leaders were, real, principled, leaders and were made of much sterner stuff than the current bunch of political jelly babies who just melt away at the first difficult hurdle.

"Jumped up little cheese eating surrender monkey", Neil, is not a synonym for "Continental European". However saying it is synonymous with being a bigot.

What ever happened to the pro-EU Conservatives? This Facebook group has been highjacked by fantasists.

And, oh, for your information, the 2nd World War ended 64 years ago; it is no longer the latest thing to happen in the world and the way to measure others/foreigners.

No Gordon Brown does not listen as he is a self obsessed, egotistic and left wing incompetent, with no genuine regard for the people who vote in this country. This corrupt socialist regime must go before we are completely ruined!

Dear David, I wish you would give us a bit more help in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. There are certain parts, which could be our downfall. We are fighting an up-hill battle and our poor P.P.C. are more than disillusioned, as they are fighting a marginal seat. We don´t need you in Henley or Knights bridge, as that is our home turf. Help us up here, with Reggie!!!!

Very funny Stuart McCaw. I really need to stop bottling my negative feelings up. But go David, you're amazing on PMQs and an inspiring MP. Both George Osborne and David are.
