The Ebenezer Home for the Mentally Challenged in Manchester has received $100,000 from the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) Foundation to expand its farming project.

The JNBS Foundation was established in 1990 as the charitable arm of the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS).

JN Foundation 14 of the top students from the Resolution Project 2009 attended a photography intensive residential summer camp from August 10-14. Though the students were housed in Kingston their photographic excursions took them around the Island, as they explored Jamaica and captured her beauty.

Thanks Reggie! The campaign is currently on the move around the UK, getting a LOT of support from Jamaican's over there. Violet- Thanks so much for your kind comments. Our projects are selected in a variety of ways:
1. Through our Member Advisory Councils at JN Branches island wide. Each Branch recieves projects from their Members and the Advisory... Read more Council (also made up of Members) selects a shortlist to be submitted to us. So no matter what, there is ALWAYS something being done in each community JNBS is present in. There are also a few larger projects from around Jamaica which are submitted annually to the AGM of JNBS and voted on there.
2. We also accept Grant Funding Applications. The major stipulation is that the project is sustainable and will be able to continue after the funding period is over, and also that we do not fund individuals. The Foundation encourages partnerships.
We also design and implement our own projects wherever we wee the need! Thanks for the support!
