Louise I have a x breed puppy and love taking her to shows, obviously the only shows i can take her too are companion and fun dog shows. But the problem i find is that you get all the pedigree's and their owners going for practice for their big dog shows ie Cruffts ect, so it then becomes less of a fun dog show and more compe......titive! Our x breeds don't stand a chance of a little win! I understand that it is all practice for these guys, but when can we have our own shows?!! X breed only shows!! I went to a show and they had about 60 different pedigree classes and at the end they did a companion show, which i was looking forward too- but as if the 60 classes wasn't enough they all came and entred into this show too!! Ring craft gives them the chance for practice, and maybe the KC could hold pre cruffts practice classes or something! B ut please let us with x breeds / rescue have a bit of fun too- Give us our own classes too!!!!

CAMPANION DOG SHOWS
IS THERE ANY IN NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND IN NOV AND DEC ??
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

The Kennel Club
Have you ever found your dog is not as welcome as you when visiting parks, gardens or beaches?
KC Dog needs your help to improve public access for dogs.
Over the next few months KC Dog will be contacting local authorities in England and Wales to encourage them to work with dog owners to ensure as many of our parks, beach...es and public places remain open for dogs.
At the moment too many local authorities resort to dog control orders banning dogs or restricting them to short leads, rather than talking to dog owners about how else they can solve problems like dog poo not cleaned up or dogs being allowed to jump up at strangers.
We need your help to keep public places open for dogs. Please take a few minutes to fill in our survey at: http://sift.cogix.com/servlet/viewsflash ?cmd=showform&pollid=kennel_club_corp!do g_ctrl_ordr
