When I saw this movie for the first time, it simply knocked me down. Somehow it remains me on a bit older movie Kids - but while kids just move from nowhere to never, looking for the way to waste their lives, Said & comp are dealing with a bit harder reality around them. "World belongs to you" sounds great - but who should be "you"? These three guys are somehow sure, this is not about them.
This story is about society, it has lost her groundstones and she falls down. And while she falls, she repeats...it´s good, it´s good, I´m still flying.
Btw - did something changed in suburbs since this movie was made?

Excerpt

When he was just twenty-nine years old, Mathieu Kassovitz took the international film world by storm with La haine, a gritty, unsettling, and visually explosive look at the racial and cultural volatility in the low-income banlieue districts on Paris’s outskirts.
