No, I'm glad you are here Sara, you caught some of this before I could :) I will also point out that Levitical law, found in Leviticus and Deutoronomy, applied to Old Covenant Israelites living in a time before there was grace and redemption from sin. If you are an Old Covenant Israelite living in a pre-redemption time period, then yeah, follow the laws in Deutoronomy. Any Old Covenant pre-redemption Israelites in the house? Didn't think so.

Even then, by those pre-redemption cultural standards, men who were caught in adultry were executed too, not just women. So as barbaric as it was, it was at least fair. Christianity has done a great deal to uplift women and give them dignity, value and worth, as both the New Testament AND the Old Testament (read Song of Solomon and Proverbs 31) testify, time and time again.
