RAC Breakdown

Just thought I'd let you know my son-in-law got pulled on the A1 last night in Beds. He got a Rectification Notice for having a blue side light bulb in his bike. He said he got the feeling they were having a 'purge' as there was a car in the same layby with blue LEDs on his washer jets.

Although I live in the suburbs, I buy most of my fuel in rural areas as there are very rarely queues.

Did anyone watch this the other night? I'm glad to see that an RAC patrol won it and he was the best of them.

But, I found it to be a bit silly really. The faults that were put onto the cars in the first test were not 'true' faults - How many peoples cars suddenly have a wire 'appear' connecting the horn to the headlamps?

can anybody tell me what is on the end of the trackrod arm other end of trackrod end, that can be making rattle near to engine,bush or bearing?

This weekend, our daughter and son-in-law went to an overnight function in London.

They took the train from Leicester staion, instead of using their car.
So, leaving on Saturday and returning Sunday morning; East Coast Line, First Class return, £306 for two people.
Breakfast on train? No way. Best available was a bag of crisps and a Kit-Kat, a pot of hot water and teabags, and disposable beakers for a DIY brew.

To salt the wound, arriving at the hotel in London, they found it had a private carpark and spaces to spare.

I was furious with them. I could have taken and collected them, door-to-door, and two round trips totalling 400 miles would have only cost about £50; saving them a around £250.

Let the train take the strain? :rolleyes:
