Phillip Drawbridge Wow, I loved my 512. I still have it somewhere. Probably in a box in my parents attic. I expect I could take it out and plug it in and it would fire up, or explode. I remember getting a 512 chip that you just stick on top of the built in chip to get 1024 ram. Mine was stuck on with bluetac, which probably wasn't the best idea. But it worked and I wondered how I would ever need more than a meg of ram.

I also had other amazing games such as Armour-geddon, Lemmings II - The Tribes, IK+, Lotus I, II and III, ... Read moreSpellbound Dizzy, Strider I and II, Ishar II, Parasol Stars, Z-Out, Turrican II, Another World, Stardust, Xenon, Street Fighter II. Did I mention Michael Jackson's Moonwalker? That was the first game I ever loaded up on my Atari STE, unfortunately ;).
The cover disks on ST Format magazines were like gold mines for me. I used to try out every single game and application. In fact, I still have that habit to this day, except it's internet-wide ;). Probably has something do do with why I'm not a very creative person, computer-wise (computers are my life, anyway).
The music in games such as Turrican and Stardust are probably the main reason why dance music is pretty much the only genre I listen to these days.
