Elen Moustou Best Friends is an inspiration for us all, all over the world. I've learned a lot from them and I keep learning. Very proud to be a member.

Ken Bailey Two days ago I rescued a starving cat as he was crossing a 4 lane road,he was moving slowly and was very very skinny. I saw that he was wearing a collar with a bell so I knew he was domesticated so I opened my car door and cat called him and he came so I grabbed him and put him in the car.He was about to die either by ...a car , malnutrition/ dehydration or by the cold of the night.I fed him and gave him water and a cozy place in the den of my home.He ate and drank alot and is recouperating well but he is still slow.He looks young but it's hard to tell because of the shape he is in.I hope he continues to get well and I plan on taking him to a vaccination clinic this weekend.I just can't believe that he was about to die:(.He's a cool cat with one heck of a will to live.

LaDonna Cable Are you still filming dogtown? If so, what day and time is it shown?

I'm behind this cause 1 bazillion%! We rescued our "unadoptable" dog, Jack, about 3.5 years ago and he's the absolute smartest dog I've ever had the pleasure to know. People think I spoil him with toys, but it's really to test his command of language. He's passed every test. This intelligent animal, who was to be put t...o death the day before we adopted him, already knows each and every one of his toys - now numbering around 40 and growing. Jack is truly brilliant and totally loveable! He helps comfort and care for the foster puppies and kittens we take into our home. One of his favorites was a tiny siamese lilacpoint we called JJ (Jack, Jr). Jack loved that little kitten as if it were his own! Truly, truly remarkable. Jack bathed, played with and guarded the tiny fellow 24x7!
I salute you, BFAS, Ana Caban, and all organizations and individuals worldwide who "get it". God bless you!

CA URGENT!! Abused pittie w broken back needs help by WED!!!
She was found outside a trailer park with a ROPE TIED AROUND HER NECK which she had chewed through to escape, a BROKEN BACK AND PELVIS FRACTURES. Sadly, after all she has been through she is scheduled to die.
All she wants is a chance to love and be loveda home of her very own. She is very sweet and a staff favorite at the Camarillo shelter. They are asking for our help to save her life.
We only have until Wed 6pm to SAVE HER!
She is at the Camarillo shelter, she is in kennel 203 (but listed in 204). She is small size for the breed and a vet office staff favorite.
She was found outside a trailer park with a rope around her neck that she chewed through, and with a broken back and pelvis fractures.
Even though she is very injured, Dr. Koerner at Camarillo shelter thought she deserves a chance (they all love her there) and they have been treating her.
The vet is convinced that if she is given full kennel rest for 2 months she will recover. She can walk even now with all the injuries although she is in pain since they stopped the morphine (she has been vomiting all the food when she was on it so they decided to stop).
They asked me to please help them have her rescued even though they realize this is a lot to ask in terms of her care. But they feel she is so sweet she deserves it. She would be completely worth all the work to get her healed.
Please let Jennifer Thaler (Jennifer.Thaler@ ventura.org and me Olga (olga.solomongmail.com) Let me know if you can help. Patty at the vet's office asked to please try to find her a rescue by mid -week (end of Wednesday) the latest.
