The Airlie Beach Festival of Sport is fun for everyone who can run, cycle, swim or hit a volleyball. Incorporated in this event, the 11th Annual Airlie Beach Sprint Distance Triathlon (750/20/5) attracts competitors of all abilities from around Australia and overseas, especially as this event will be the last hit-out race for anyone competing in the Triathlon World Championships at the Gold Coast two weeks later.
On offer is AUD18,000 in cash and random prizes. With a welcoming, friendly and generous community, plus magnificent scenery, this event will keep you coming back to the Whitsundays on an annual basis.
