I really like this game a lot! its freedom allow you to do whatever you want no matter if you do so at night or daylight. Besides, this game in Mexico gave me a real Jeep Compass truck for be the winner in a q&a contest on november last year....yay! Thank you Ubisoft!

Awesome game!! I finished the game on medium, hardcore, and I am now near the end on infamous. Playing in infamous (hardest level) is a real challenge. Take a bullet and you dead. Thats it. It forces you to think and plan your missions. You cant just run in guns blazing tossing grenades jumping around thinking you the man.. because you will get owned!

The AI is amongs the best I have ever seen. And the graphics... Stunning. I live in South Africa and the sounds and scenery in the game couldnt be more realistic. Its also very strange playing an international game and hearing the gaurds speaking in a language only we understand! Ubisoft really did their homework on this one.

I fail to see how so many people can criticise this game for its freedom. As gamers we have always wanted to be able to do what we want, how we want in a game. Far Cry 2 gives us that. I noticed there are comments regarding the vehicles and there should have been sniper missions etc etc. If you want more choice of vehicles go play grid. I prefer walking in the game anyway. Its far more exciting. As for the sniper missions... Far Cry 2 allows you to play the way that YOU want to. If you want to snipe then snipe. If you want to attack a fort at night with a silent MP5 with a dart rifle then you can. It is entirely up to you... If you want to go in guns blazing in the middle of the day you can. That is what makes this game so beautiful.

The gaurd posts are annoying but you can scout them from far away. Its also challenging to try sneak past them. Using diamonds to buy weapons and upgrade them is really cool. I Like the jamming of the guns as it forces you to manage and look after your weapons. If your gun jams in the middle of a fight it is only your fault.. No one else.

If you enjoyed the game as much as I did, still do, then you will no doubt love it online where it only gets better! Taking the fight online ads a whole new perspective.

Awesome game! Buy it now!

Great game, sure guns dont jam in a few hours but neither does the moon rise and sun set nor could you really be shot ten times and survive. On the plus side weapons jamming during gun play forces you to retreat and find cover or simply switch weapons and blast your way to safety, as does taking your malaria medication and injecting what I assumed was Adrenaline. Playing on hardcore provides the greatest challenge for the FarCry2 experience, around 3 shots from a sniper shoul kill you and shotgun blasts from behind will put you on the ground. The variety of vehicles and design of safe houses and guard posts could have been tossed up a little but you are travelling through a small world that wouldnt change so excessively from post to post. Character buddies and side missions are fun and the option to choose your own adventure (either meeting your buddy in mission for a better deal or continuing on with what you've been paid to do) is rad. I chose to blow myself up at the end of the game. Look out for the Gold Plated ak47s. I'd have preffered the animals not to constanty run into my jeep whilest driving though, magnetic animals maybe? And maybe some wild dogs or Lions, would like more Africa in the next game.

Great game, most immersive experience I have had in a game for a long time. I loved walking on a railway in the middle of the night, just listening to the different sounds. Respawning checkpoints didn't bother me, just the fact that you were limited to how high up a hill you could go. That took a lot of great sniping spots away. AI wasn't too bad either.

A pretty fun game. Sorry, William Wen, but jammed weapons and heating cars are just plain annoying. Players, of course, always look for realism, but there IS a fine line between realistic and just boring. (ex: America's Army: Special Forces [PC] where you do not respawn) The character and weapon graphics aren't the best, but the scenery makes up for it. And more. The open-world allows you to do unthinkable in games such as Call Of Duty, like blowing up a cargo truck or leaving the mission to stock up on guns, going to your buddy, and connecting the missions together. HOWEVER, there, as with all games, are the downsides. Too much guard posts (57?!?!?), guards that spawn every two minutes, and malaria get in the way of otherwise smooth gameplay. The rusting and jamming of your guns get in the way. What, guns certainly do not rust in seven hours in-game. To sum it all up, Ubisoft has done a great job with this one.

An amazing FPS game, but there isnt any variation of vehicles. The graphic is very realistic and reliable like jammed weapons and overheated car.
So, I will waiting for FAR CRY 3!

Just completed the game yesterday after playing a few hours a week. AWESOME...although the ending was short and un-eventful. But I guess all the action was in getting through those last few checkpoints.

The best openworld game I have ever played. The weapons were great, there was just enough difference in the scenery to keep interesting. I loved how the armoured trucks got better guns as you got further through the game. I didnt really notice any hitches in the graphics, and I had some really serious stuff happening a few times there.

The music was good, as were the sound effects. It was interesting how the music changed when you shot a weapon, and the enemy became aware. Which leads me to the AI. OMG, how good was it. The conversations between characters, the smoking, the sitting around campfires, and of course the use of course language was very effective.

Looking forward to a 3rd installment Ubisoft, bring it on!!!

Excellent game. Realistic.
Everyone seem's to go on about how there's not enough difference in the mission's etc. What are you supposed to do in Africa as a mercenary? Car chases, crazy weapons, fast travel... I don't think so, it's about realism and I think this game really achieve's that.
Only downfall in my opinion was how fast the check points were re-populated, should have left it at least one game day.
Well done people, can't wait for the third.
