History Of The Trade

Formed in early 2009 through a mutual appreciation of loud pop songs, History Of the Trade fell into place when acoustic songs and overdriven guitars crossed paths. Meeting at university in Canterbury and based around Kent the band set about adapting previously written acoustic songs and writing new material marrying pop sensibilities with a desire to rock as hard as possible.

At recent gigs they have proved themselves to be an exciting live band, having supported Huw Stephens favorites Elephants and wowing the 1500 strong crowd at Keynestock 2009, prompting CSR radio Dj Jamie Stephens to call them the best band of the day; “they’ve just blown all the other bands out of the water”.

The band recently finished recording their first self produced and self titled E.P, mastered by Pink Floyd Engineer Andy Jackson, which has garnered praise from, amongst others, Manchester rockers Nine Black Alps.

H.O.T.T. are now looking to book further gigs whilst continuing to write new material.
