We are coming into the big run up to St Patrick's Day now, a busy time of the year for Kíla and busy we certainly are..

Gig News
Kíla are headlining at Oíche Sonas tomorrow night (Thursday 12th) in Dublin's Vicar st. The night is being put on by a group of Irish language organisations and will also feature, Tumble Circus (the trapeze artists previously seen with Kíla) a brilliant Reggae/West African fusion band called Ojemba, comedian Paddy Courtney and all Ireland talent show finalist Daithí Ó Dronaí. Kíla will be playing an hour set and the doors are 7.30 pm tickets from ticketmaster and usual outlets or on the door for 28.50euro hopefully see you there. This is Kíla's only Dublin show this march..!

Friday the 13th Kíla will be in Dolan's' Warehouse in Lucky Limerick doors 8pm and Saturday 14th March Kíla are set perform on the Quayside in Waterford, a free open air gig before the St Patrick's Festival, fireworks spectacular SkyFest. This will be kick off at 6.30pm and some of it will be broadcast live on RTE Network 2,
Monday Kíla are in Clarence Hotel Wine Street in Sligo town, as it is St Patrick's eve this should be a good night for all and St Patrick's night itself Kíla are breaking their tradition of playing in Dublin and playing in Cork City at the cool new School of Music venue, Union Quay, Tickets from www.ticket.ie or on the door 22.50

Release News
Kíla's music is featured in a gorgeous animated feature length film called The Secret of Kells. It has gone on general release in cinemas in Ireland, France and Belgium and will fingers crossed be going worldwide in the next few months. The soundtrack was done by brilliant French composer Bruno Coulais (Microcosmos and Coroline) and features Kíla's playing on many of the tracks, two co writes between Kíla and Bruno and two existing Kíla tracks. It is a beautiful film for Kíds and Adults and the Soundtrack which is available from shops in Ireland on Friday will also be available from the Kíla website in the next few days. www.kila.ie/shop
