Not giving the police notice before you demonstrate is a crime, but forced labour isn't. What a joke!

There is so much to do and so many government MP who do not care - I some of them at least did maybe legislation could move faster - In fact I do wonder who cares. So we really have 'us' to really campaign as much and as often as possible

yes we do need a second house we also need a government which is a democracy, a real one when we all have views to be respected, voiced our opinions have referendum this is our voices and we have to carry on to protect them, I think unlikefor example some African countries corrupted and leaving their people, children and babies die, at least as maybe our voices have been reduced we do have one.
Catherine - Let's use it.

I would still like to know who is going to oversee this reversal to ensure it actually happens! - Easy enough for them to side copy all info before removal. . . personally I wouldn't be trusting them one little bit and would like to SEE evidence of them complying . . . saying that delighted that this is happening.

You have a rather 'sinister' comment and is quite rightly this is obviously your right. Liberty has done a lot of very important legal work, they are a very active organisation which does not only deal with overseas disasters as Amnesty International but alo deals with legislation in the UK.
Anyway eacht to their own. Thre world was not made in one day. I feel despair sometimes but I cannot give it is in me
Thanks for sharing your points of vue anyway - Catherine

I've always had a pretty good response when I've contacted MPs and other elected officials about problems I was having with officialdom. It's in their interest to pay attention to what constituents think.

WELL YOU ARE REALLY THE LUCKY ONE
MY MP HAS BEEN A PERNAMENT AND TOTALLY USELESS THOUGH I ALWAYS WRITE TO HIM IN MY SAME DESPAIR.HE IS ONLY INTERESTED IN HAVING HIS PHOTO IN THE CRAPY LITTLE LOCAL WEEKLY NEWSPAPER - A VERY SAD MAN WHO REALLY SHOULD JUST GIVE UP - OBVIOUSLY HIS EXPENSISE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE PEOPLE.

Andrew Symeou extradited to Greece when all the evidence points to a misscarriage of justice by the greek police. Andrew was 21 yesterday and spent it locked in a prison cell after he was told that he could not have bail as he was in danger of fleeing the country, as he is not a greek citizen! Yep we know that and that is why we fought his ... Read moreextradition. All our worst fears have come true and Andrew and his family are living in hell- in greece with the prospect of 2 years in a greek jail before his case comes to trail. Extradition was for terrorists- we are horrified at the thought of keeping terrorists in jail for 42 days before trail yet we happily waved Andrew off to Greece where we knew the injustice would continue. Our government continues to turn a blind eye and in most cases does not even have the decency to reply to our letters of appeal for help.

E-mail gone to MP on extradition rules. Changes needed to deliver justice to UK citizens, anti-terror objectives being misapplied in too many cases.

I cannot help but note that the Conservative party sought to introduce an amendment that provides more protection than the incumbent Labour Government afforded UK nationals. It is difficult to keep the incredulity from my tone; I have been a keen Labour voter in the past....

The McKinnon Case is rich with examples of the inequality of arms ... Read moreinherent in the "special relationship" the UK has with the US.

More importantly it highlights that where Labour passed the Human Rights Act, they have orchestrated an attack on individual freedoms of breathtaking ferocity.
