Kobe Bryant, 31, became the youngest player in NBA history to eclipse the 24,000-point mark. Bryant also recorded his third, 41-point performance in four games, on an efficient 19-for-30 shooting, in the Lakers Friday night win.

In 1996, the Philadelphia 76ers selected Allen Iverson, a sophomore at Georgetown, with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft. Twelve picks later, the Charlotte Hornets selected Kobe Bryant on behalf of Jerry West and the Lakers. They've been linked in scoring ever since.

Lakers spokesman John Black confirmed prior to L.A.’s Wednesday night contest in Houston that Gasol’s doctors in Spain agreed with the diagnosis of L.A.’s doctors and team athletic trainer Gary Vitti that the injury is healed.
