Politics has been reduced to the level of pantomime now, which is how we ended up with bagpuss as Mayor. "Boo hiss, he's the baddie. Get rid of him! Eh? Policies? F*** off mate, I'm dealing with the serious business of politics here".

I think every party and every candidate should save on the expense of leaflets and just write salacious ... See Moresoundbites on the front page of newspapers, as that seems to be the main influence on the depressing majority of the electorate.

A couple of years ago I said, jokingly, that it wouldn't be too long before MPs, councillors and other public officials were voted for via an x(crement)-factor type programme. Nowadays I'm not so sure I'm joking.

A most dignified and humble speech from the best politican we have in the UK.

My favourite opening words of a British political speech were when Ken Livingstone became Lord Mayor: "As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted 14 years ago".

Why would I go on the BNP page if i don't agree with their extreme policies? What a stupid comment that was... As somebody who personally knows Ken, and will be with him all the way in 2012, please don't go around calling me a twat when I was only replying to a stupid comment in the first place.

What the hell have Londoners done last Thursday? Now we have the next 4 years being governed by an Old Etonian joke. It's sick.

Ken Livingstone London's mayor speaking to a rally in Trafalgar Square one week after the 7/7 bombings of 2006. Livingstone gave the city what it badly needed - leadership, and a moment of closure on the events of the week before.

Ken Livingstone has warned about the threat posed by the fascist BNP In the forthcoming London elections. We need to make sure turnout is high to keep the BNP out of City Hall. You can check you're registered to vote now, before the registration deadline passes...

Fair enough, and I respect your opinion. But I can think of no other reason why he would have had Adams over if not to work out a peaceful resolution. I don't believe Ken was the sole reason the IRA downed arms, but it certainly would have helped. And I admit that if Ken had a meeting with Osama bin Laden on the 8th July 2005 it would have smarted in much the same way...but if it stopped future terrorist attacks; well, sometimes you have to dance with the devil to get out of hell.

"doing such a good job of turning people away from BNP ken, by inviting yusuf al quadri over and sharing a platform, thats not going to annoy anyone is it! you fucking prick"

Check your history Gene...the Tories granted the same fella a visiting permit 12 years in a row..mind the Tories were happy to supply Saddam all the weaponry he needed to ... See Moreslap the Iranians..as noted already here it was through dialogue that peace was gained in Ireland...left to Thatcher and Co you'd still be picking the body parts off the streets..the only people the BNP attract are the kind of pond dweller you see on the Jeremy Kyle show..sure let em sit on their sofas (paid for by cash in the hand work whilst claiming) moaning about the immigrants stealing the jobs they wouldn't do....Ken hasn't added to the ranks...flies naturally gather round faeces.

The new layout of Trafalgar Square took some getting used to, but it's now far easier to cross over into the national galleries without dying. Bendy buses (only one s required for the plural) are much easier for parents with very young children, and the fencing mask is a whole lot better than what used to be there.

Ken... You done alot for young people so my vote is with you... looking forward to Mayor's Youth Offer ( i was one of the young people involved in marketing and branding)... its great...

one thing I really really do hate is The transport system and how bunch of hooligans abusing and ruining for the majority... with loud music with no respect

BAN THEM !!! if they can't appreciate then why should they get anything?... See More

I had an ugly incident when this Kid who even didn't hit puberty start throwing food at the driver... this would be one of the reasons why Boris would be elected if he is going to...

So if I vote you in I hope that you do something about that...!!!!!!
