We've had a lot of fun with the Christie Cookie $25,000 Charity Giveaway. It's only about 48 hours until the voting ends at http://www.ilovechristiecookies.com . Right now, it's a three-way race between Nazarene Compassionate Ministrie...s and two other charities. The top vote-getter will get $10,000. The second highes...t will receive $5,000 and the third place charity will take home a $1,000 check.NCM is in second place. It's positioned to either take away the top prize or it could even fall to that third place.

So, do you have friends that haven't voted yet? Has every member of your church's youth group voted? Have you voted from all of your email addresses (many people have more than one)?

Yes, it's a Cookie Company and the grants are not huge. However, it's a consciousness-raising thing. Getting people to participate in the voting is a way of getting some "buy-in" to what Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is doing around the world.

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is one of the two top vote-getters in the Christie Cookie Charity Giveaway contest that ends Thursday, Oct. 15. The top vote-getter gets $10,000. This would help in places like India. If you haven't voted yet, do so and recruit a friend to vote. If you have voted, recruit one or more f...riends to vote. You can vote one time per email address. http://ilovechristiecookies.com/contest

Yes, it's a cookie company, and, yes, the top grant is only $10,000. However, the biggest benefit of this will not be the dollars. It will be the excitement generated within people's hearts and minds about supporting Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. That will pay dividends for years to come.
