Somewhat of a stupid reaction when told something that is pretty much true. Almost seems like a "don't ask, don't tell" situation.

These experts i think just give the government a veneer of professionalism over ideology. However i believe that all drugs are bad for us as they cause drunkeness, lung disease, motivates crime and mental health issues.

Who gives a toss about what you do to yourself? Drugs should be legalised and taxed. And alot of crime from drugs is because they are illegal.

I'm really rather disturbed by this, the govt. chooses to ignore the advice of the Cambridge Primary Review, then two weeks later David Nutt is sacked. These expert opinions aren't going to win votes-why? Because the public, in general, has negative preconceptions about both. Why not work on educating the public rather than sweeping scientific evidence under the carpet?

I agree with the first comment, there is a reason why recreational drugs a criminalised, but I do have doubts over cannabis, as I see it as a 'drug of luck' as you could get severe side effects, or no side effects at all.

I am concerned that the majority of people making statements and voicing opinions about the recent ‘drug baron’ outpourings have failed to take into account the facts that we who advocate the legalisation of drugs do so with the proviso that these drugs are taken off the streets and into the hands of clinicians qualified to distribute ‘clean’ substances free from the miss-handling by on-street ‘drug barons’ and at a price/in a way which will enable ‘users’ to not have to make the lives of other citizens a misery through theft, burglary, muggings, etc..

This process has to some extent been tried and tested elsewhere in the world to the greater benefit to the majority of the populace. Switzerland is a good example of this.

When visiting Swiss cities it is very noticeable that drugs are currently off the street. Only a handful of illegally present persons are to be seen. Petty crime has been almost eliminated. Beggars are rarely if ever present. More than one Chief Constable in Britain has issued a statement promoting this method of ‘clean up’.




I advocated this procedure way back in the 1980s and was severely criticised by the same ignorant people who persist in miss-reading advice.




One day someone in the right position will take proper account of what we suggest and Britain may return to the countrywide safe situation of the pre-smack , pre-skunk era. All we need to do then is eradicate the Afghan poppy crop and the Colombian cocaine plantations, close down illegal drug factories wherever Interpol finds them and we are on the road to normality!

See More90% of it was saying how good for your health it is and the only reason they do not legalise it in anyway is because it would wipe out about 30% of the drug industry and how do they fight back with the bbc saying some mum injected thc who does that really!!!
