Winner of street art competition announced
Rianne Rowlands is the winner of the League’s Love Spain, Hate Bullfighting competition 2009. The 25-year-old from Bridgend, Wales convinced judges with her hand drawn, very personal and individual work.
Rianne who was in Barcelona for the ceremony said: “I’m very excited about winning the street art competition. It is a great honour and I hope my design can help to stop this barbaric sport.”
Florian Leppla, League campaigner said: “The party was a great finale of the street art competition. The 150 or so entries from all over the world showed very high quality and the commitment of designers to deliver the Love Spain, Hate Bullfighting message.”
The crowds gathered in the Big Chill House, Kings Cross, London and in the Miscelanea, Barcelona on Thursday to celebrate the top 25 designs.
The League would like to thank the venues’ managements for hosting the parties. Special thanks go to Other for printing the designs.
