ON THE WRIGHT STUFF WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 11
PART 1: HELLOS & MENU
PARTS 2 & 3: TODAY'S PAPERS
After the break: What does the panel make of Home Office proposals to allow DNA samples of innocent people to be held on a national database for up to six years. Is that fair? After that Glenn and the rest of today's headlines.
PART 4: GIVE A VIOLENT VIDEO GAME FOR XMAS?
Our first phone-in: Would you give a child a violent video game for Christmas - even one with an 18 certificate. I don’t know about you but every boy I know over 12 wants the new Call of Duty game and a lot of parents don’t seem that bothered about the fact it’s rated for adults. One mum told the Daily Mail said she was buying it for her 16-year-old because if she didn’t, he’d only go and play it at a mate’s house. Is that acceptable? Do age certificates not really count on video games?
PART 5: JUDGE A MAN BY HOW HE TREATS MUM?
After that: Can you judge a man by the way he treats his mum as Michelle Obama claims? When it comes to finding the perfect mate, don’t go for looks, bank balance or title - look at how he treats his mum, she said, what he says about women and how he acts with children. Has America’s first lady got this right - because I suspect she’s talking nonsense. Her husband wasn’t exactly beaten with the ugly stick? Can you tell if a man would make the perfect partner from the way he treats his Ma?
PART 6: WAS MORRISSEY RIGHT TO WALK OFF?
Then: couldn’t resist this as we’ve got a rock star with us, was Morrisey right to walk off stage after getting hit on the head with a plastic water bottle half way through the second song of the evening. He stormed off leaving 8,000 fans even more miserable than they were as teenagers when they first bought his records. Can you blame him? Did he overreact? Or maybe you expect your pop heroes to be made of sterner stuff?
