I think this is the same as an AIMS retrofit on the electric models. I don't see the advantage myself because it takes the electric 4hrs to get bk to normal when in slumber & 2 hrs when in low. You don't save much with all the cooling down & reheating of the cast iron. It is good if you're away on holidays, you can switch ur Aga off & have it back to full power when you return, meaning you never have to wait for it to heat up.

The lottery has not produced the necessary spondulix but you've got to beinit2winit as they say. Meanwhile I'm re-planning the kitchen for my new Aga when the lucky day comes along. ( We had an ancient solid fuel model from '87-'91 till we moved to France. We're back now but Aga-less. Temporarily I hope!)
