To Mr. Abraham Laboriel:
My True Story:
It was year 1995 When I first heard the RON KENOLY album, that time I was a musician in our Church a bass player, I heard you play the bass and i was amazed, moved my my passion for excellence, i decided to devote my time to practice and exercices, though i do only play the bass by... ear, with no degree in music or so, i managed to develop my style of playing inspired by your music theology. Now even though im playing songs like hillsong or the new songs of today, the style and attack on the basslines are still like yours...
Im thankful sir because God has used you to build me up the Way he wants me to grow as a Musician for him, now im training up youth people here in our Church and passing on the style that you taught me though its tru listening to your cd's but im blessed because God used you as my mentor when it comes to how i play music for him.
one more thing.. I dont have a Bass guitar of my own.. im just using the Bass of our Church, but still my passion does not stop me from practicing. Im planning to buy my own bass guitar soon, as of now my priority is to teach and be a good husband to my wife.
Thanks sir Abraham. God bless you..
here is a video on how i play the bass using your style (this is not a good quality video)
