is closing the gap and is 1 point behind first place... Races 6 and 7 were held in 25-30kts placing 2nd and 1st. Race 6 I struggled to hold the 10m sail but managed to hold onto 2nd place behind Sarah, Race 7 I took the 9.3m sail and had a good lead... with 2nd and 3rd almost not making it within the time limit. The ot...her girls couldn't finish due to the strong wind! Races were then cancelled for the rest of the dayRead more

Allison Shreeve is waiting for the wind... The current conditions 5-6knots but swinging in every direction. Two thunder storms have come through with lightening and 30knots, we will see if they send us to race or not.

Allison Shreeve Hi All, The Bass Strait Challenge is over. It was pretty rough out there, I had 30-35knots for 6 hours straight! In the end my body couldn't go on with severe cramps in my legs and the onset of hypothermia. 9 hours I was out there and managed to get 125k

Well done Allison I have great admiration for you. I don't think anyone can actually imagine how tough it must have been out there - 9 hours is a heck of a long time to be battling those conditions. I am sure it was well worth all your hard work and effort and the good cause you did it for will benefit well from it.
