how to identify a call from a call centre:
when answering the phone announce your name: "Joe Blow…"
if s/he answers, "May I speak to Joe Blow?"…
obviously they are not listening when the call is made. Hang up.

What I find amusing in all the Vegemite story is how that name was come up with by a Web Designer. and purely as a joke ? Sure there is a few red faces at the agency and internal team who put forward it as a plausible name :D It was a competition, but all competitions can be rigged by the company if they feel the result is not satisfactory, and ... Read morethey aren't necessarily forced to use an end result anyway. Afterall, they write the legals of their own comps and usually there is clauses to safeguard against undesirable endings lol

It would be interesting to know who made the final call. I wonder if they still have their job :o)

personally, I think all of this was a stunt to draw attention away from the revolting fact that this spread look just like spreadable poo. Not very appealing regardless of the taste or name!
I really think this was the plan from the beginning, it's too perfect!
