Compleet IS beat Bupa again to win title

Compleet broke Bupa’s stranglehold over the honours, from last season, as they registered their second win over their rivals, to win this competition for the fifth time. In fact they were always victorious in every Louis Bor...g Cup final that they played in. It was practically impossible for Bupa to overturn the burden of the large defeat they suffered in the first final, but they went at it, for the consolation of limiting Compleet to an aggregate win.
After the match Compleet could celebrate, as President Emeritus, Louis Borg, could distribute medals and trophies to both sides.

Compleet are on their way in relieving BUPA of the first honour of the season. They amassed a considerable lead, to lay claim to the only competition whi...ch is played on a two-final basis.

BUPA kept pace for the first part of the opening session, but the writing was on the wall for them as Compleet, with Frenchman Julien Valdiserra, playing his best game so far this season, gave their adversaries no respite

Compleet’s dominance in the second session, and their end of match performance denied Depiro of a better score, w...hich looked oods on, after Depiro’s fine showing after the interval. Compleet’s long bench comes in handy in games like this, and they can change course as they deem fit, without losing out on their balance in play.

Basketball – Men’s Louis Borg Cup semi-finals: Siggiewi’s last quarter recovery not enough

Compleet just made it against a fiercely competitive Siggiewi outfit, who nearly pulled off a major surprise in this first semi final. Compleet were cruising, midway through the third quarter, on a 54-33 lead, bu...t they didn’t reckon on a strong Siggiewi revival, which kept their opponents wondering what was happening. Compleet’s Omar Said kept a cool head, to nudge his side through, in the closing stages of this highly entertaining match

Compleet kept up the pace at the top of the standings. Like Luxol, they also hit best form in the opening two quarters.
After a good start, Siġġiewi fizzled out as Compleet pressed hard and forced their opponents to commit several mista...kes.
Siġġiewi had the better start but when Compleet stepped up a gear they soon found themselves trailing heavily.
