Beefeater Gin No one knows where the word cocktail comes from! There are a variety of explanations, one describing it as coming from the name Xochitl, an Aztec princess, another from the description of a horse of mixed breeds. The most likely is that it comes from the French word 'coquetel' meaning mixed drink. What do you think?
