Bec Kinsella

Bec Kinsella Hello, I was wondering if you could help me please. I'm researching a move from London to Belfast & currently have a national insurance number. I have read Learning's ' Living and Working in Northern Ireland' (Pg 20) but i can't find any specific information to say if this number is the same as the UK NI number. I just found out that the police clearance is a different process to the UK so I wanted to try & clarify this too before heading over.
Thanks, Rebecca

Rebecca, thank you for your query. If you are a UK citizen your national insurance number will cover working in Northern Ireland. You will not need police clearance to come and reside in Northern Ireland. Neither will you need police clearance to secure a job here, unless it involves working for a government department.

I hope this is of assistance of you. If you have any other queries please do not hestitate to contact me.

Read more) that I will need a Northern Ireland Access police check which can take up to 1 month to process (£30) and is different to the CRB disclosure performed in England & other parts of the UK??

Thanks again, Rebecca

Patrick Lismore I have been back in Northern Ireland since november 08 i left one of the bet IT companies in the world to return here for the IntroProgramme which as a waste of time and since november i had no employment

I have interviewed and interviewed, applied and applied for such a strong IT sector i cannot get a job, im considering leaving NI AGAIN, recruitment agences are no help at all I even applied for Masters course at queens and got rejected. The said my 2.1 hons degree in software engineering was not relevant.

I cannot support my 5 year old on £90 every two weeks i wish i never returned back to this place. C'mon over to what misery, dispare, tribalism, negitivity.

I even did the start a business course by invest ni, built the business plan. built the products and services and cannot get no help and support financially.
