Language is fascinating... words fall in and out of fashion, some words get misused, or others reclaimed.
I put up a post on a messageboard asking disabled people to nominate the words they didn't like - words that felt like swear words - and asterisked out the vowels to make it clear just how dirty some of 'em are...

On 1st October 2004, new laws under the Disability Discrimination Act came into force, giving disabled people new legal rights.
However, many people felt these laws did not go far enough, or make changes to things that were important to them.
