I’ve got all sort of exciting things to post here before too long, but I thought I’d get back into the way of things by borrowing an idea from a talk I attended by the Illustrationist David Shrigley, that of posting shopping lists found lying around in and around the supermarket. I ...

A longer-term strategy:
1) Write a course that convincingly argues for the existence of nuts, and the importance of a relationship with same. Include some tasteful video footage of talks in an appropriate setting.
2) Leave video and work books in the roof for the squirrels to interact with. Include provision for group work and follow-up.
3) Recruit converted squirrels for a repeat course.
4) Set up a large sign on the roof: "Do nuts exist? Yes. No. Possibly."... Read more
5) Get Bear Grylls to record an impressive video enacting a search for nuts a la Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom.
6) Get the existing squirrels to run a second 'Nuts' course in the loft.
7) Have a meaningful chat with the 1st & 2nd generation 'Nuts' course members about the fact that the loft is getting to be too small a venue for further courses.
8) Help the squirrels relocate to a suitable venue. Offer advertising and course material free of charge.

I never thought of squirrels "pacing". Scampering, yes, but pacing?

We had a kettle – it dribbled water. It seemed hazardous to keep dribbling water, what with the electrics and kettle water being boiling, so we got a new kettle that did not dribble water. Now the new kettle dribbles water too. Do all kettles dribble water? ...

Years ago ICI had a Research Laboratory at Brixham studying the impact of pollution of varios kinds on fish. I went to do job assessments there and found the work fascinating - at the time it was cutting edge stuff.

We should have the human equivalent of the Plimsoll Line - once you pass it, you are bathing! Below, it is only paddling (which would be OK in the harbour then?)
