Cetacean Research Technology Most of the people involved with returning Springer (A73) to her family gathered at Telegraph Cove on Vancouver Island for the 5th anniversary of her release. She had not yet been seen that summer of 2007 and we were treated with her showing up exactly 5 years to the day that she rejoined her family in 2002! The man d...oing the drumming in this video had also drummed a traditional welcome to Springer when she first arrived back home in July of 2002. Note: the footage of the whales in this video is rather grainy since I was using my point and shoot digital camera that only has digital zoom in video mode.
