LONDON (September 16, 2009) – Proposals for hosting the WBC in 2011 are being accepted. Information can be reviewed in the WBC Event Hosting Guidelines.pdf Submissions are due by January 15, 2010.

The World Barista Championship is the world’s premier coffee competition.
Champions representing more than 50 Nations each prepare 4 espressos, 4 cappuccinos and 4 original signature drinks to exacting standards in a 15-minute performance set to music.
WBC Certified Judges from an international pool of evaluate each per...formance, including the taste of beverages served, cleanliness, creativity, technical skill and overall presentation of the competitors.
There will be a new semi-finals round that narrows down competitors from Round One. Then there will be a finals round, with the top 6 from the semi-finals, who will compete one last time to fight for the winning title of 2010 World Barista Champion.
Past annual competitions have taken place in Monte Carlo, Miami, Oslo, Boston, Trieste, Seattle, Berne, Tokyo, Copenhagen and Atlanta.Read more
