We will be supplied with the footwear, which includes socks, boots and crampons as well as a waterproof raincoat and overtrousers. Please note jeans are not recommended for the hike as they become very heavy, cold and uncomfortable to wear when wet. Trackpants or long cotton pants are best and shorts are suitable during summer months.

Trainers or running shoes would be fine, you might also want to consider bringing flip flops and a set of clothes for the night life at the Gold Coast and various other stops along the way!

Hi Chloe! In January it's peak summer there in Cairns, like 25 up to 30 degrees, it's hot and really humid - even the night it is still warm. So you need more summer clothes, like shirts and shorties: but bring also something for rainy weather.
Don't forget swimming gear and towel, water bottle, hat, sturdy walking shoes. sun screen and of course camera and film =) It's great to have you on board, enjoy your tour in January!
