At last a real name to conjure with... Donavon Frankenreiter, the original surf-muso-meister, will headline the 10th anniversary of the GoldCoast Oceanfest on the mid-summers weekend. Whilst the organisers frantically beaver away to finalise the remainder of the bill, one thing is for certain - Donavon's appearance wil...l definitely dominate this years proceedings.

Being a pro surfer for half of his life has left an evident mark on Donavon’s songwriting. His mellow, groovy and upbeat songs serve up a genuine soulfulness that make you want to feel the sand beneath your feet and the salt on your skin. The two worlds are a perfect marriage for Donavon, as he says, “the surfing thing keeps me alive, and the music keeps me grounded.” A perfect fit for North Devon's GoldCoast too, solidifying that surf music connection which is so intrinsically linked to the Oceanfest.

Hi Gold Coasters, here we are again, back in brand new 'skin' for what will be our tenth production, can you believe it! 1999 to 2008 doesn't appear on the face of it, a complete ten years, however count 'em, we can't believe it either!

Hopefully you should find navigating yourself around the various departments a little easier. Right off the top from the home page you fast track straight into the main areas of Sport, Music and the Box Office. We have maintained all the usual links and information surrounding the event and taken into account your comments, to make this site as comprehensible and helpful as possible.

The GoldCoast Earlybird scheme is aimed at affording Locals and Loyal members who have purchased tickets previously or subscribed to the members newsletter, the advance opportunity to purchase tickets for a short period of time at the same price as last years gate rates. It is a show of faith buying into the 10th GoldCoast Oceanfest without necessarily knowing the music line up or sports stars who will be there and is based on the fact that you know what a blast the event is, have probably already booked your accommodation and thus want to be sure of securing your tickets.

This Earlybird period expires on the 31st March 2008 and thereafter the official ticket prices for 2008 will kick in.
