The Routes sign to Dirty Water Records!
Fukuoka's fabulous Routes are releasing their new single "Do What's Right For You" on Dirty Water early in the new year. It's not online yet to hear, but it's great, trust us. The Routes are Shinichi Nakayama (drums), Toru Nishimuta (bass) and Chris Jack (guitar/vocals). Taking i...nfluence from amongst many others Link Wray, The Yardbirds, The Animals, The Sonics, The Wailers, The Downliners Sect and Hound Dog Taylor, The Routes are a great addition to our lineup. You can still get their debut album "Left My Mind" on the excellent Motor Sounds label (http://www.motorsoundsrecords.com/).

Routes
update! It has come to Dirty Water's attention today that, despite his
residence in Japan and the fact that in most of the official band photographs
he looks more Japanese than his (actually Japanese) bandmates,
Christopher Jack, esq. is in fact English.
Interviewed
this morning on "Hello Fukuoka", Masao described him...self as "shocked
and dismayed....I had no idea...." Later, Toru told garagepunk.com
"People might wonder how he could get away with it for so long, but
Chris speaks fluent Japanese, is really polite and has cool hair."
However,
despite his shameless deception, the lads have decided to keep Chris in
the band because he is a fucking great guitar player.Check out his Vox tutorial here:
