Edgar Alan Pig behind the scenes of the 'glamorous' melbourne cup - thousands of horses are slaughtered because they simply don't run fast enough. As hard as this is to watch, it is the sad reality for most thoroughbreds... this is also where Brian and Georgia would have ended up. In fact Georgia was literally minutes away from being slaughtered when she was rescued.
