I'm standing in front of an empty Department store downtown. The Department of Parks and Recreation was run by a gentleman named Ed Smith. He liked the idea of using the empty space inside the store as a small theater for a children's show I wrote cast and directed an original play - and that's how The Skrap (Parks spe...lled backwards) got started and sponsored. The hand painted sign reads " Bags Boats Tubs and Kids " That's me 40 years ago and Enkidu the Black Lab.
