Future Shorts kehrt am 14. November nach dem Open Air am Badeschiff zurück in den Admiralspalast um ein Jubiläum zu feiern: das Festival geht in Berlin in die 15. Runde! 2 Jahre gibt es Future Shorts nun schon in der Hauptstadt und es ist inzwischen eines der innovativsten Kurzfilmfestivals vor Ort.
Diesmal können sich ...filmbegeisterte Besucher auf ein abwechslungsreiches und kontroverses Filmprogramm freuen. Kontrovers ist vor allem der Film „Beyond Here Lies Nothing“ (Bob Dylan), der eine exzessive Hassliebe thematisiert. Auch sehr streitbar ist „Stress“, der eine brutale Pariser Vorstadtgang porträtiert. Aber auch verspielte Animationen wie „Hum“ finden im Programm ihren Platz.
Der Abend beginnt mit einem Konzert der Berliner Band „Pirate Bride“. „Violine, Gitarre und Gesang sind die Quelle für dreckige, traurige, trashige, schöne, wütende und fragile Geräuschlandschaften und Melodien. Von gespenstischen Tangos bis zu sterbender Liebe. Von Selbstzerstörung bis hin zum wütenden aber ironischen Blick auf die eigenen neurotischen Gedanken“ – so die beiden Musiker über sich und ihre Musik.

After hitting on a string of girls (most already taken for) and dancing half-heartedly to his own tracks he has drunken sex in a VIP room before crashing out. When he wakes it gets straight-up weird.
