Long a champion of children's charities, Gerard Butler has lent his name, signature and support behind BBC Children in Need.

While appearing on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Gerard signed a Build-A-Bear to be auctioned for BBC Children In Need. That bear is now up on Ebay.co.uk.

In a recent poll of British film fans by LoveFilm.com, the UK DVD rental service, Gerard Butler was selected as the year's Best British Actor in Hollywood. The 40-year-old Butler, star of 300 and Law Abiding Citizen, beat out Christian Bale and Daniel Day-Lewis for the title.
