Why have another General Election and waste time and money when you have already been voted in? Surely the mondey can be put to better use/given to others such as carers/people on benefits, mothers with young children after all they are the future of this country if they get the chance to that is.Have u ever seen littl...e white children thinner than a pin, ever had pain from lack of air, ever been abused since the day u were born, well i have and NOT by my family. Try using the money to even expand the Job Centres, in London they have masses of space here in Liverpool ud have 2 b 2ft to move easily.THINK AGAINRead more

People have the right to livet whether anyone likes them, so it would be better to NOT charge taxes and guarantee benefits and pensions which would alleviate poverty of the material and hopefully improve their lives, even if they only recognise the material and at the least people would be healthy enough to be able to ...work and understand why work is necessary and real work not continually producing rubbish that would strain anyones imagination. Improvement of housing/work conditions/schools and education MUST always be a priority as with health/safety/security. If you dont enjoy the benefits that go with a job, it doesnt mean others dont.Life is a continuous process that requires permancy not fickleness. Why is that housing cannot be given freely that would alleviate some of the problems that arise then there could be time spent in helping with finding work.Read more

7 November 2009 - The Prime Minister on Remembrance Sunday
Gordon Brown

Gordon Brown “With his death, an entire generation has fallen silent and we have lost our living link with the momentous events which did so much to shape our nation. And so this Armistice Day, we must make anew our promise to Harry and his comrades: that although they are gone, we will never, never forget."

If we never forget we must also remember the folly of entering other wars.

We remember but how must the troops in Agghanistan and Iraq feel about their position, a little lost and forgotten.

Again we remember the ordinary men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Now we must also remember the banker's who's greed and selfishness almost bought this country to its knee's. "Shame upon them".

Gordon Brown “It can not be acceptable that the benefits of success in this sector are reaped by the few but the costs of its failure are borne by all of us. There must be a better economic and social contract between financial institutions and the public based on trust and a just distribution of risks and rewards.”

You can not trust the financial institution of this country, they are a self interest group driven by pure greed. Most working people in this country have been suffering wage cuts and attacks on their terms and conditions of employment for the last 20 years or more. The unexceptable face of capitalism is alive and well. Money is still being transfered from the pockets of those who have least, to the pockets of those who have most.

Terry is spot-on. It makes me sick to hear the drivel being spouted now by Gordon Brown for party-political reasons when for the past decade his policies fuelled the bubbles- he knew exactly what he was doing, as did all the other 'greedy' bankers. Banking is intrinsically 'greedy' you retard Gordon Brown. Politicians are the real scum.

Alex! I support labour and I think GB is on the right track in trying to bring the banks under control. He needs international support as well as domestic support. We are still enduring the legacy of Thatcherism and Reaganomics.

You've got to want to be liberated, you can't force democracy because it goes againts what democracy means. Surely a child could understand that

The above comment is somewhat defamatory. Being in a situation and taking responsibility is not the same as the luxury of standing by and making our own thoughts known which we do not have to follow through.
There is always space for real thoughts and feelings to be heard which may be uncomfortable for all however it is a too serious situation to throw mud.
