Our Family Activity Sessions are all about learing some new skills and having fun. They are intended as a broad introduction to each topic offered, and use our 'hands-on' teaching approach.

Carol McGiffin form ITV's Loose Women programme came and spent a morning with Rod "out in the woods" for a feature on a recent show.
I spent some time teaching Carol to make fire without matches (although she used a lighter!); shelter building; animal signs and tracks; and some edible and medicinal plants.
It was a good, fun morning for all!

Sadly the weather kept things at bay for starting the Activity Programme at Wendover woods. Sorry for any disappointment. Check the site for what's coming up and I hope to see you soon!

Our Spring Activity Programme starts next weekend: 15th Feb with 2 sessions at Wendover Woods. 10am Fire & Shelter; 1.30pm Nature Awareness. Both sessions are aimed at all ages, and there are 12 places available at each session. If you need more info please check the website. http://www.green-school.co.uk

Green School teaches wilderness living skills, bushcraft & tracking to people of all ages & abilities. Our ancestors had an amazing understanding & connection to the environment in which they lived & would have used many of these skills every day. You may be surprised by how easy it is to engage with local wild spaces ...and get close to some amazing British wildlife and plants.
