Given DIT's ranking is greater than University of Limerick, Maynooth and more importantly many respestable UK & international universities why we do hamper the DIT's ability to attract global funding and students by denying University designation? Me thinks it's a an attachment to an outdated dual model of higher education, a refusal to apply common standards to the sector and protectionist moves that we can't afford.
