Jon Chambers believes that Britain will be stronger when every graduate pays equally for their degree. Support the Graduate Tax and support a stronger future for Britain's Universities.... Just because I'm a university student I shall not be forced into supporting Free Education.

This is one of the comparatively few major policy disagreements I have with you and the Labour administration. Education is arguably the most important part of the public sector, and I think that free education should be a goal/ideal, if not necessarily 100% possible. Student debt is already a pressing concern as it is... and in a recession most of all we need to be encouraging people worried about money that staying in education is the right option, lest we face a skills shortage.

Jon Chambers would like to know why Norfolk County Council thinks that £200,000 on a 'worldwide advertising campaign' is a useful way to spend tax payers money in a recession. What about jobs? What about apprenticeships? What about frontline services like the NHS?

Works quite well for them though - advertising your safe county council doesn't count as election expenses. Even better, you get to claim credit for government initiatives like surestart

The campaign is a ridiculous waste of money, based around a Norfolk 'in-joke' that nobody on the outside will get. £200,000 that could have gone to front-line services.

Jon Chambers is pleased that Tory run Bromley Council backed down over wanting to redirect public money into private schools in the area.

That is actually awful, really does piss me off...

Jon Chambers cannot believe that Tory controlled Bromley Council wants to use a loophole in local funding, designed to help state school pupils who cannot afford school means, to redirect £4,700 per pupil to subsidise private schools - in a recession. This obviously what David Cameron wants to see as he supports allowing more councils to have a free reign on our education budgets.

Jon Chambers cannot believe that David Cameron has simply described Dan Hannan as an 'eccentric' making out he is a fringe Conservative ... this guy was writing speeches for Hague. Now is the time Mr Cameron to stop being two faced, sack Dan Hannan - after all weren't you calling Gordon Brown weak for standing by his cabinet?

I'm no sure if Cameron is two-faced, or faceless entirely. Probably both.

Jon Chambers is certain electing a Tory MP is very different to electing a Tory government.

Jon Chambers had a walkabout the town yesterday with some Town Councillors... it is surprising how many areas the town council owns and operates! Any suggestions about what could be improved or changed?

Unfortunately that probably won't help the town in the short term! Any best practices across other parts of the country you'd like to share?

you can't say, all things considered, that they are overly outrageous. I'd be interested to see what you would have claimed were you an MP....

Well I would not have claimed for framing of photographs, I would not have claimed for repairing a leather briefcase... and I certainly would not think that was value for money. I'd also support local businesses if I was to buy books, but I wouldn't be buying hundreds of pounds worth, which aren't related to my work.

I wouldn't claim for having ... Read moremagazines paid for my the tax payer, nor would I think that claiming for food would be suitable.

They are outrageous because they are certainly not in the "spirit of the rules" - they are rediculous.
