The minimum resolution standard is VGA-- 640x480. All software should be designed to work with this.

Also, that said, I find ordinary Plasma to be capable of a very nice configuration for my handheld PC (2.5" display, I think-- and 800x480 res). The only problem is that it (along with knotify4 and a few other daemons) is a terrible memory hog.
