Dear LINKS members and CSO LINKS
National LINKS Conference 2009
The National LINKS Team are very pleased to announce details of this year's National LINKS conference celebrating LINKS' 20th... birthday.
It will be held at Aston University in Birmingham from the evening of Friday 3 April to mid afternoon on Sunday 5 April 2009. CSO LINKS day will run on Saturday 4 April alongside National LINKS conference.
Highlights will include a look at the new service delivery uniform close up, consultation on volunteering portfolios, LINKS' National development themes, input into National LINKS projects, clinical skills sessions, unit showcases, open forum and a masquerade birthday ball for the Annual National LINKS dinner and disco!
To apply simply log on to http://signups.tjwood.net/ and follow the instructions to reserve a room and download a unique application form. Simply print this form, fill it in and send it to National Headquarters. An application form can be used only once; additional members should be registered online and further forms as required. Please pay close attention to the pricing system (twin and double rooms are available). We will accept requests to invoice for places.

Lower prices are only available to those who book before Friday 6 March 2009.

Full Conference Package (single room) £140 / £160
· Two nights accommodation in a single room
· All meals from Friday night dinner through to Sunday lunch
· Full access to the conference for all days.
Full Conference Package (twin room) £115/ £130
– NB very limited availability
· Two nights accommodation in a twin room (separate beds) sharing with one other person
· All meals from Friday night dinner through to Sunday lunch
· Full access to the conference for all days.
· You must sign up in pairs.

· Two nights accommodation in a double room (one double bed) sharing with one other person
· All meals from Friday night dinner through to Sunday lunch
· Full access to the conference for all days.
· You must sign up in pairs.
Day Delegate only £70
· Attend the conference for Friday night session, both day time sessions plus lunch both days.
Day Delegate and Conference Dinner only £95
· Attend the conference for Friday night session, both day time sessions plus lunch both days and the conference dinner on Saturday night.
Conference Dinner (Saturday night) only £30
· Attend the conference dinner and disco Saturday night only.
Please note there is no Saturday night Bed and Breakfast accommodation available on site however we are right in the heart of the Birmingham city centre and hotels are available.

Every Chair of every unit and each CSO LINKS is invited to represent their unit and county at the 2008 National leadership Forum.
On the 5th to the 7th December the NLT are running the LINKS Leadership Forum Weekend at Lee Valley YHA, Hertfordshire. We would like to invite LINKS chairs/presidents (or another committee r...epresentative if your chair is unavailable) and CSO LINKS to attend this valuable event.
Objectives for the weekend
The weekend will focus on how we move the organisation forward, and will give you the opportunity to:
· Have your say on significant changes in the focus of national LINKS (student first aid courses, induction programmes etc)
· Work with the NLT to develop your unit plans.
· Start to develop a committee training package
· Get involved in the plans for LINKS20
· Gain knowledge and experience on effective leadership and unit management
· Tell the NLT what you want from them
