Liquidearth C'MON FINDUS!!! ......BRING US SOME SUNSHINE PLEASE!!! :) ....

Liquidearth
If you’re on the mailing list or a fan of the Facebook Page, you’ll know that we decided to cancel the mountain bike event in Scotland in favour of working on our latest project (details of which are coming soon…). Although we’re thoroughly enjoying the ideas we have, and seeing them slowly but surely come to life, tha...t simply isn’t a good enough excuse to stop doing the things that make us smile the most, and the things that inspired us to start liquidearth in the first place.
So now we must make amends, appease Findus, broaden our grins and relax our overworked brains. And where better to do this than a Cornish beach?
We’ll be getting together for a surf at Crantock (next beach down the coast from Fistral), and then again for a beer at the pub in Holywell (just a bit further down the coast) later on. You’ll find us towards the rocks at the south end of the beach at Crantock at around 1:00 pm (we might move up towards the river mouth if there isn’t much swell but we’ll still be at the south end of the beach at 1:00, for anyone wanting to come along). Times and venues are below.
See you there,
Andy.
The Details
Date: Sunday 21st Sept
Time: 1:00pm (surf at Crantock) & 8:00pm (pub at Holywell)
Place: Surf at Crantock, South end of the beach. Pub – St Pirans Inn, Holywell Bay (where the path to the beach meets the road – very easy to find)Read more

As many a motorway sign will tell you, tiredness kills. Time to stop working so much and hit the beach then...

Liquidearth A weekend of fun around the campsite. Biking around the lake, mountain boarding, kite flying, the pub, South African sausage (boerworse) and getting chased of a feild....

Liquidearth
For this event, we’ll be camping overnight on Saturday 28th June at the Syke Farm Camp Site in Buttermere Village, in the Lake District. The village is right between two lakes and in the heart of one of the most scenic parts of the Lake District, so we should have plenty to look at, at least!
The plan is to set up camp ...and then do whatever we feel like, either as one group or many, depending on what people fancy doing (very unstructured, as usual!). We’ll be taking mountain bikes with us and going for a ride on at least one of the two days we’re there but this event isn’t just for those with bikes. The area is also great for walking, chilling out by the lake, or checking out the village, so we should all be feeling that Lakeland buzz by the time we hit the pub for a few beers on the Saturday night.
The Details:
We’ll arrive at Syke Farm campsite at around 11am and we’ll be there until about 2pm.
Syke Farm campsite don't take bookings, so arriving as early as you can is the best way to make sure you get a spot. Pitching a tent costs £6 per person per night and the nearest shop is 10 miles away, so bring what you need! (we're planning to eat at the pub, but you might need some breakfast food)
At around 2pm we’ll go off and explore (we’ll probably be on bikes, but we’ll plan routes for people who want to walk or just chill by the lake) and we’ll arrive back at around 5pm (ish!).
We’ll probably head off to the pub sometime between 7pm and 8pm, and get something to eat there before finding some comfy seats near the bar and getting a round in!

Here's a quick list of our planned events for the next few months. We'll post them up as events as soon as we iron out the details. June 28th and 29th - Camping trip in the Lake District (Buttermere). (Mid-July - Beach event on the east coast, Scarborough area) - Unconfirmed...

Liquidearth Hi Jon, We're planning another 2 or 3 beach events this year: one in Wales, possibly one in the North East and definitely one more in the Cornwall or Devon area - but we haven't decided which yet! I'll start a discussion topic on it where people can leave their votes. Cheers, Andy.

The next liquidearth event is 'Not so Chilli on the Beach' - It's not here because it's still hosted by the old liquidearth group but you can see it here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=13215016529 All the future events will now be hosted by this page, so please become a fan to keep...

Liquidearth A nice 8 minute video by Steve (Millermenace Productions - millermenace@msn.com). Loads of helmet-cam and some lovely editing! Cheers Steve!

Liquidearth There were soup and sarnies awaiting anyone willing to get into the North Sea in January.

Liquidearth We were mountain biking and hiking in the West Yorkshire hills for this event - there aren't many photos of it though!
