The Nightline Training Weekend aims to equip you with active listening skills, which are of great value in the contexts of welfare, the workplace and everyday life. There will be opportunities to hear talks from professionals on important and challenging subjects. Topics explored will include; identity, loss and relati...onship breakdown, self-harm, abuse, depression and suicide. The weekend is free of charge and open to all students.
There is no obligation to volunteer for Nightline afterwards, you are welcome to just attend the training. If you are thinking about volunteering at University, interested in welfare or simply wish to learn how to listen effectively then the Nightline Training Weekend is highly recommended. If you cannot make these dates, there will be another opportunity in February.
Since it is oversubscribed, two sign-up sessions will be held prior to the weekend. You must attend one of these to obtain a place.
Monday 2nd February 7:30 pm: ER140 (Elvet Riverside)
Tuesday 3rd February 7:30 pm: CG85 (Science Site)
We look forward to seeing you there,
