Couldn't make Don Giovanni in Orgasmic Cafe Bar on the 14th June?

OR

Really loved Don Giovanni and want to see it again?

Then Operagasmic in the Drama Barn on the 15th June is the place for you!

Operagasmic strikes back with their exciting interpretation of Mozart’s hair-raising opera which follows the notorious Don Giova...nni appalling escapades before eventually tumbling into Hell.

Young, fresh-faced singers from the University of York will be giving a modern facelift to this tale of lust, sex, comedy and revenge with a demonic energy that will still the roots of your hair.

Entry is free so you have nothing to lose. The performance will be in English with a compere explaining what is happening in each scene so there’s no reason to be scared about not understanding the plot. We are inviting people to watch the whole performance, but are just as happy for people to come and sample the production when and for as long as they wish. All we are asking is for people to open their minds and for one night banish all stereotypes!

Do you think that opera is about fat women screaming their heads off in a language nobody understands? Do you think that an opera ticket costs more than a year round luxury cruise? Do you think opera can never be accessible to everyone?

If the answer is “yes” to at least one of those questions then you should definitel...y be at Orgasmic Café Bar at 8pm on Sunday the 14th June to watch Operagasmic’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni.

Operagasmic strikes back with their exciting interpretation of Mozart’s hair-raising opera which follows the notorious Don Giovanni appalling escapades before eventually tumbling into Hell.

Young, fresh-faced singers from the University of York will be giving a modern facelift to this tale of lust, sex, comedy and revenge with a demonic energy that will still the roots of your hair.

Operagasmic will be adding a unique twist to this operatic Martini by staging the scenes during one intense 48 hour weekend with the final performance taking place in Orgasmic Café Bar outside the confines of the theatre. Audience members will be able to sit back and enjoy a relaxing drink whilst being captivated by beautiful singing and thrilling drama.

Entry is free so you have nothing to lose.
