Narrated Salman-Al-Farsi:
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then uses his (hair) oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds (for the Jumua prayer) and does not separate two persons sitting together (in the mosque), then prays as much ...as (Allah has) written for him and then remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven."

keutamaan-keutamaan membaca SHALAWAT NABI MUHAMMAD saw
1. Pembaharuan iman kepada Allah.
2. Pembaharuan iman kepada Rasul.
3. Pengagungan terhadap Rasul.
4. Dengan inayah Allah, memohon kemuliaan baginya.
5. Pembaharuan iman kepada Hari Akhir dan berbagai kemuliaan.
6. Dzikrullah.
7. Menyebut orang-orang yang shalih.
8. Menamp...akkan kasih sayang kepada mereka.
9. Bersungguh-sungguh dan tadharru' dalam berdoa.
10. Pengakuan bahwa seluruh urusan itu berada dalam kekuasaan Allah
Masih banyak keutamaan-keutamaan bagi orang-orang yang melakukan atau membaca shalawat atas Nabi. Namun penyusun hanya menukil beberapa hadis dan qawl (perkataan) ulama.
Adapun faedah atau manfaat bershalawat atas Nabi Muhammad Saw. sebagaimana dijelaskan hadis-hadis di atas terdapat sembilan belas perkara, yakni:
1. Memperoleh curahan rahmat dan kebajikan dari pada Allah Swt.;
2. Menghasilkan kebaikan, meninggikan derajat dan menghapuskan kejahatan;
3. Memperoleh pengakuan kesempurnaan iman, apabila kita memba
