EELS FIGHT HARD IN LOSS TO TITANS

A late second half comeback was not enough to save the Pirtek Parramatta Eels from their third loss of the 2008 season, the Eels going down to the Gold Coast Titans 28 points to 20 at Parramatta Stadium.
The Titans scored five tries to three and managed to withstand t...he Eels rally to secure their fourth victory of the year, skipper Scott Prince instrumental in the visitors’ eventual eight point victory.
The Eels were left to rue another slow start which saw them trailing by 10 points by midway through the first half.
The loss means the Eels remain on four competition points from five matches, two clear of next week’s rivals Manly.

EELS LOSE TO ON SONG COWBOYS IN TOWNSVILLE

The Pirtek Parramatta Eels have crashed to their second defeat of season 2008, going down 38 points to 14 to a fired up North Queensland outfit at Dairy Farmers Stadium.
In front of a parochial home crowd of 19,231 the Cowboys dominated possession from the ...outset and never relinquished control of the match, scoring six tries to three to run out convincing winners.
The loss is the Eels second on the road this season while the Cowboys broke their duck having lost three straight matches to kick off 2008.
The Eels return home Sunday to prepare for their round five clash with the Titans at Parramatta Stadium on Friday night
